The first of the Sail Akarana weekends was conducted on the 29-30th of October 2011. There were over 30 entrants ranging in size from Optimists through to Flying 15s and A-Class cats.
The concept of Sail Akarana is to provide fast sprint racing over a two day stand alone regatta with a great social evening on the Saturday night.

Platu Charter Rates:
$400 for the regatta + entry fee
($116.25 each for 4 crew or $93 each for 5 crew)
$500 bond (credit card details to be provided before racing and only charged if there is damage)
