The 2009 Ocean Race will be conducted by the Royal Akarana Yacht Club in conjunction with the Cercle Nautique Caledonien in Noumea, New Caledonia.
The course is 975 nautical miles long, to work out how long the race would take by car, boat or flying at various speeds see here.
